Product Summary

Issuer exposure analysis across multi-asset classes has become an essential requirement within the financial industry. Transparent instrument and third-party data that can be mapped to a common entity identifier is a key aspect of this requirement.

Markit Reference Data links asset classes and identifiers while breaking down data silos that have been created over time. A unique entity, identified by a Markit ticker or RED code, is linked to common IDs and reference data for its loans, equity, bonds and CDS. Markit Reference Data will also fully support the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) as it is rolled out to the industry.
