| Department Overview |
| The TOTEM service, founded in 1997, provides the major market makers in OTC derivatives with definitive consensus market prices. More than 50 of the leading banks, trading houses and other investment professionals use the TOTEM service as the key independent check of their trading book valuations. The service encompasses the equity, interest rate, currency, commodity, credit and bond markets, providing comprehensive matrices of vanilla prices and a wide selection of exotic products. Markit TOTEM recently launched a daily service for Equities, FX and Commodity derivatives which requires additional operational support both in London and in Sydney. |

| Role Summary |
| Critical
• Strong java developer with good commercial experience; development on Windows environment
• Experience with Spring / Hibernate
• Familiar with version control system, preferably subversion
• Database development skills, preferably Oracle
Desirable
• Some knowledge of OTC derivatives
• Familiar with best-practise unit and integration testing techniques
• Familiar with use of Maven on software projects
• Understanding of GUI development and multi-threaded nature of Swing
• Employ and possibly contribute to core internal framework and libraries |

| Gather, analyse and refine business user requirements and rapidly develop front-end applications |

| Strong, proven development experience, preferably in a financial environment. |
