Role Summary
MarkitSERV seeks a MarkitWire Associate Integration Consultant/BA. The candidate will be accountable to the MarkitSERV API Integration Manager and will work with new clients wishing to implement straight through processing (STP) by integrating their systems with MarkitWire, and with existing clients looking to adopt new functionality. The candidate must be business focused as well as being technically literate, and will become an SME for the MarkitWire API. This is a programmable interface which enables clients to integrate between MarkitWire their own front, middle and back-office systems to facilitate straight through processing (STP)
Duties and Responsibilities
Support established integration process and make recommendations for improvement
Assist customers to implement STP solutions using the MarkitWire API
Work with customers to build extensible and reusable tactical utilities based on the MarkitWire API for actions not available through the core product, and raise issues to core product team for strategic solutions
Respond as required to customer inquiries in the pre-production environment and coordinate resolution with appropriate resources across multiple functional and geographical teams
Support and assist strategic initiatives to roll out new functionality
Produce best practice documentation
Co-ordinate external Integration working groups as required
Assist with test planning, execution and reporting, including writing, reviewing and executing manual test scripts
Process Management Assist in the development of estimates for projects Contribute to defining time tables and project plans Assist in the definition of milestones
Technology Architecture Maintain knowledge of the business’s current technology and infrastructure
Business Competences
Educational Experience
Must be a fluent Japanese speaker
Must have a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must have a relevant academic background (finance) and/or BA experience in financial markets
Knowledge of XML desirable
Any experience working in a client-facing role would be an advantage
Development experience desirable
Commercial Awareness
Must have the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
Must be service driven with strong customer orientation
Understanding of Financial markets required
