The NCREIF Property Indices show returns on income and appreciation of a select pool of unsecuritized commercial property levels.
Product summary:

The NCREIF (National Council for Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries) is a non-profit organization that publishes commercial property returns as a market reference.  Markit provides pricing on Total Return Swap (TRS) contracts that reference these published levels.

Independent consensus based pricing on nine NCREIF TRS contracts.
Markit provides daily feeds of NCREIF levels to subscribing customers.
Five dealers contributing marks on a daily basis.
Key functions:
The NCREIF Property Indices allow investors to take positions on movements in commercial property prices and cashflow streams.
NCREIF rates include two components: Income generated by the property and the change in value of the property based on the appraisal.
The NCREIF Property index uses standard ISDA TRS confirmation forms.
