| Markit formed a strategic partnership with Compliance Technologies International (CTI) to build a centralized platform for the collection, validation, and dissemination of US withholding tax forms for institutional clients. Integrating CTI's MD3 and MD4 applications with the Markit Document Exchange will allow institutional asset managers the ability to provide a single tax form to all counterparties (either physically or online) rather than sending separate physical copies as is typical today. It will also allow broker dealers, custodians and other sell side counterparties to have a single source for collecting client tax forms without the need to perform their own manual validation. |
