Connex Developer, Team Lead

Markit Group Limited is looking for experienced technologists to become members of its North America development team based in White Plains, NY. Responsibilities include leading a team of developers, selecting appropriate technical direction, interacting with product management, setting priorities and monitoring progress. This is a hands on leadership position so it will include some analysis of business requirements and specifications, coding, and writing documentation for various agile development projects.

The position is located in Markit’s Westchester office in White Plains, NY.

Duties and Accountabilities:

• The successful candidate must have:
• 3+ Years of experience working as a Technical Lea
• Must have experience with MS Project or similar, and proficient at driving project schedules
• Excellent business analysis skills as well as excellent communication skills.
• Must have complete SDLC Experience
• 5+ Years experience working with J2EE. Experience with high volume sites.
• 5+ Years experience working with Sybase/SQL. Knowledge of Oracle will be a plus
• 5+ years of experience working with UNIX
• 2+ Years experience working with Swing. Web Start experience a plus. 2+ years experience working with JMS
• Experience with C, C++, or .NET a plus
• Proficient with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Perl knowledge is a plus
• Experience working JBoss or other J2EE application server is a must.
• Experience working closely with internal and external business clients
• Excellent communicator
• Financial Industry knowledge and professional experience is a plus
• Exposure to OTC derivatives trading is a plus
• Experience working closely with business clients is a plus
