IHS Markit Index Administration Services (“IASâ€) is conducting a consultation with interested parties on its intention to amend the methodology of the below UBS Commodities indices. Consultation will close on 27
th April 2017.
With regard to the basis calculation of the Lead Contract returns used in the monthly selection process, starting from the next index selection on 28
th April 2017, IAS will be using the Last Trading Date rather than the Expiration Date. Although the use of Expiration Date is in line with the current methodology, the change will be introduced to avoid those instances where Last Trading Date and Expiration Date do not match.
